Since summer 2025 we have been delivering Holcim cement by e-truck. By 2030, Holcim aims to deliver around 80% of the volume we transport electrically.

Forty tonnes of cement, gypsum or lime. No diesel engine, no exhaust, no noise. Silo Riedel moves heavy bulk goods across the Danube region electrically, powered by Austrian hydropower.
The Cycle
From the river
to the job site.
For us, driving electric isn't a campaign, it's a closed system: our own charging park, our own fleet. Three stages that interlock every single day.
Hydropower
The power for our trucks comes 100% from Austrian hydropower. No certificates of origin from abroad, no offsetting. Real green power, real decarbonisation.
Charging
Our own charging park with 1,000 kW capacity at the Bruck an der Mur logistics hub. Trucks charge overnight and between tours, with no dependence on public infrastructure.
Driving
11 heavy e-tractor units pull full payload: cement, gypsum, granulates, containers. Whisper-quiet on plant sites and in urban areas, with zero local emissions. Every offer for an electric transport states the expected CO₂ savings, per trip and per year.
